In democracy, people who run the government, have to be elected by the people of the country. But elections create some major issues.
The most concerning issue is, that the only those candidates can win elections who can invest in political campaign, including bribing voters in the background. That will force the winning candidate to involve in corruption in the future, to recover the invested amount with some profits. That clearly means democratic system is bound to produce corrupt politicians, and inflict suffering to the masses.
Another major issue that people usually fail to notice, is that any candidate can win elections with the face of their party leaders. It's like any student passing exam using their friend's name, which is cheating. This system allows corrupt people to win elections under the camouflage of political party or other popular leaders. Corruption would be an obvious consequences of this system.
Also, to influence voters, advertisement is such a waste of taxpayer's hard earned money. This money can be well spent on defence, education, social welfare or any other sector of need. Not to mention other issues in democracy like manipulating voters with fake promises, creating social divide and violence etc. Democracy is like an old broken engine, which devours money, creates too much noise, while people going nowhere.
I personally ran for MLA in assembly elections and witnessed closely how broken, corrupt and resource hungry this democratic system is. Even voters openly ask for bribe (money or alcohol) to vote for you. This explains that it is not that the elected politicians are corrupt, the fact is only corrupt ones can be elected. Democracy here simply filters out the honest candidates. Democracy is just Mobocracy in disguise. Political system of any country should be created based on their citizens. Democracy is not the answer for all the countries in the world. 'One size does not fit all', and for Bhaarat, Democracy is just hopeless. We need more centralized political system, so that tough decisions can be made.
We need a system where honest people even from the humble background can work their way up to the government's higher positions based on their performance, instead of relying on political party or investment in large political campaigns. We need a political system where politicians can focus on country's progress and citizen's well-being, instead of constantly fighting with each other only for political gains in the inherently divided democratic system into ruling party and opposition.
Elections should be held at the very bottom of the political structure, like a local neighborhood or a small ward, where political campaign is not required and candidate's character is well recognized by the neighborhood voters. Further promotions or demotions of elected candidates should be based on individual's performance, similar to corporate like structure with no opposition. It would be an efficient, less noisy and effective system to serve the people.
We need to collapse this democratic system and create a new efficient system. We need huge public support to change the entire political system. To show your support, you can trend #End_The_Democracy with #Rashtra4Hindu in social media. It's about time to take down democracy.
